On steep, north-facing slope along east-west
drainage into the Savannah River; area recently
clear-cut; formerly hardwoods. Site #18 (Lat.
34°02,33"; Long. 82°36l27"), about 2.5 miles north
of the Russell Dam construction site on the
Savannah River. Below the ^75“ft. contour (full
pool for proposed Russell Lake).
