These plants were brought to Canada
from Poland about 40 years ago. They
were brought so the roots could be used
for medicinal purposes, apparently to
cure some mental problems. It mainly
grows along a streambank with one small
patch growing in a roadside ditch. I
was able to collect some more specimens
and wil-1 send them to you once they are
dried. •'
