Riparian strip with scattered willows and "mesic chaparral11 species; Epipactis gigantea andPycnan- themum californicum locally abundant along stream; adjacent slopes and flats largely supporting chaparral elements; a few arborescent Quercus chrysolepis localized on mesic lower slopes.
