corolla tubular, yellow; local in pecan woodland with open
shrub layer, on gently undulating alluvial terrace on
floodplain of major stream, on soils mapped as very deep,
well drained, moderately alkaline loam (Coarsewood series,
loam Udic Ustifluvents), along SW bank of Colorado River
ca. 0.5-0.6 airmiles NW of mouth of Harvey Creek, at
N29°44.301’, W096°40.204\ Borden Quadrangle. Elev.
200-210 ft.
Associates included Carya illinoinensis, Nassella leucotricha, various
Carex spp.
