Unshaded, flat, rich delta farmland all cleared for large fields of com,* rice and cotton. Along drainage ditch with some shrubs and roadside. Herbs, a few plants over grassy roadside. Inflorescence light violet. Along Hwy. 60 from here to the Arkansas border this species is sporadic, but where found forms discrete, massive populations. Coll.: M. Nee 57112 11 June 2010 02611492
