Flora of the Upper Verde River Yavapai County, Arizona, USA Santalaceae Comandra umbellata (L.) Nutt. 34Q 53.512' " N, 112° 19.802; 4148 ft 1260 m elevation. Granitic soils and outcrops along Upper Verde River. 0.3mi downstream from Rio Verde Ranch and .FR 635. Ca. 8mi E of Paulden. Growing in coarse granitic soil on flat in open sun and in some shade with Juniperus osteosperma, Qtiercus turbinella, Forestiera pubescens, Purshia stansburiana, Rhus aromatica, Bouteloua curtipendula,, Bouteloua gracilis, Aristida purpurea, Sporobolus cryptandrus, Dasyochloa pulchella, Xanthisma gracilis, Chamaesyce dioica, Chamaesyce revoluta, Chamaesyce serpyllifolia, Chamaesyce albomarginata Dalea brachystachys, Evolvulus nuttallianus, Gutierrezia sarothrae, Artemisia ludoviciana, Lotus rigidus, Evolvulus sericeus, Penstemon barbatus, Eriogonum wrightii, Nolina microcarpa, Desmanthus cooleyi, Gnaphalium canescens, Bothriochloa barbinodis, Brickellia califomica, Rhynchosia Senna, Coryphantha vivipara, Ipomoea cristulata, Polanisia dodecandra, Pellaea truncata, Dalea albiflora, Àgave, Comandra umbellata, Panicum hirticaule, Lycurus setosus, Muhlenbergia Jragilis, Dalea nana, Boerhavia erecta, Phaseolus angustissimus, Chamaecrista nictitans, Margaranthus solanacea, Acalypha neomexicana, Physalis hederifolia and Ipomopsis aggregata.
