of Kamakusa Mt., within 0.5 mi. of Full Moon (6th) Camp.
5° 51' 44"N, 60° 09' 20” W Elev. 1000 m.
Tepui forest (to 40m tall) on south-facing slope; 3-tiered with
Myristicaceae, Lauraceae, Swartzia, Annonaceae, Inga,
Dichapetalaceae; subcanopy rich in melastomes and palms;
thin layer of brown humus over white sandstone; diverse
forest. Epiphyte. Leaves fleshy, major veins purple below.
