North facing slopes, from which snow had
recently melted, of Emma Peak’s south
cirque. White volcanic soils. With a
sliimmer lupine ? L. montiqenus.
Lupinus leoidus Douglas var. ramosus Jeps.

south side of Emma Peak, ca. 10,000 ft, reminded me of lupines on
the Sweetwaters in a somewhat similar habitat which sb''u"i
