Family Asteraceae / Compositae Common Name Sunflower Description Herb with Yellow ray and disk flowers. Leaves are a sea foam green and pubescent. Location/Habitat Dumphries settlement, found at Octavius King's house, on the west side of the road. Cultivated. Latitude 24°35 80 N Longitude 75°38 82 W Uses/Comments Often cultivated for its pretty flowers. Not previously listed as occurring on Cat Island (Correll & Correll, 1982). Collector(s) Laurel R.
