boardwalk that facilitates alligator and apple-snail
observations; toward far end of boardwalk from S shore of
White Lake, 0.5 mi. W of St. Rt. 6 from a point 0.5 mi. S of
jet. Voss Rd., at N29°38’12.3”, W095°39’36.4”. Elev. ca.
70 ft. Cullinan Park in Sugar Land.
Associates included Altemanthera philoxeroides, Azolla caroliniana,
Carex crus-corvi, Cephalanthus occidentalis, Cyperus sp., Elymus
virginicus, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Gleditsia aquatica, Juncus effusus, J.
interior, Nelumbo lutea, Paspalum urvillei, Phalaris caroliniana,
Rhynchospora comiculata, Salix nigra, Typha sp., Ulmus americana,
Lemnaceae of several genera.
