BASTROP CO.: occasional to locally common in water oak
- loblolly pine riparian forest or woodland on high
floodplain of deeply entrenched stream, on soils mapped as
deep, excessively drained, slightly acid fine sandy loam
(Sayers series, Typic Ustifluvents), W side of Alum Creek
ca. 0.2 airmiles N to NNW of jet. Gotier Trace (Co. Rd. 146)
and Alum Creek Road (Co. Rd. 190), E part of Bastrop State
Park, atN30°06’18.4”, W097°13’06.9”. Elev. 370-380 ft.
Associates included Ampelopsis arborea, Callicarpa americana, Campsis
radicans, Chasmanthium latifolium, C. sessiliflorum, Conoclinium
coelestinum, Dichanthelium sp., Elephantopus carolinianus, Elymus
virginicus, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Ilex vomitoria, Juniperus virginiana,
Lactuca ludoviciana, Malvaviscus arboreus, Melia azedarach, Morelia
cerifera, Oplismenus setarius, Panicum rigidulum, Parthenocissus
quinquefolia, Passiflora incamata, Paspalum urvillei, Phytolacca
americana, Pinus taeda, Quercus nigra, Q. stellata, Rubus trivialis,
Sapindus saponaria, Scleria triglomerata, Smilax bona-nox, S. smallii,
Tridens flavus, Ulmus americana, Verbesina virginica, Vitis
mustangensis.
