PLANTS OF TEXAS CYPERACEAE Rhynchosporu corniculata (Lam.) Gray Det: Cate Bergman, 2006 Lee Co.: FM 141 at Middle Yegua Creek crossing. 6 miles S of junction with TX 21, 4.5 miles S of Dime Box Bottomlands by creek bed under Fraxinus pennysylvanica canopy. Associates include Hibiscus laevis, Amaranthus, Portulaca pilosa, Froelichia, Viola, Ambrosia triftda, Rumex, Fraxinus pennsylvanica, Justicia americana, Polygonum hydropiperoides, Chasmodium. Spikelets long, slender and horn shaped, rust- colored. 3-part stigma exserted. Plant 1.5-3 feet tall, growing in bunches. Leaves in 90 degree angle. Culm distinctly terete.
