Shrub with brilliant yellow flowers and one specimen with a long
pod shaped fruit.
Bain Town, in the yard of "House of Rebecca," an interesting house as the
living room ceiling is made entirely of conch shells. Cultivated in yard.

National flower of the Bahamas and is commonly cultivated for it's showy
flowers. Not previously listed as occurring on Cat Island (Correll &
Correll, 1982).
