Governor's Plum, Governor's Berry
Tree with young fruits that maintain a prominent stigma. Fruits
become dark red to purple when mature.
New Bight, just south of the Government complex. Disturbed abandoned
yard.

Fruits are edible, however I have never tried them. Not previously listed
as occurring on Cat Island (Correll & Correll, 1982).
