SAURURACEAE
FORT BEND CO.: locally common in clayey mud just
outside band of buttonbush encircling large reservoir, in
shade of young deciduous forest on level topography
underlain by Beaumont Formation, on soils mapped as
moderately well drained, moderately alkaline clay (Brazoria
Series, Chromic Hapluderts) but modified by presence of
reservoir, NW side of White Lake, ca. near N29°38’ 12.2”,
W095°39’49.0”. Elev. ca. 70 ft. NC part of Cullinan Park
in Sugar Land.
Associates included Carex crus-corvi, Cephalanthus occidentalis,
Phanopyrum gymnocarpon.
