Description Large herb about 3 meters tall. Leaves about 2 meters long and .5
meters wide. Specimens with immature green fruits and yellow
flowers that are clustered under a purple bract. Sap from plant
stains clothes brown. -,
Location/Habitat North of Old Bight in what would be labled Moss Town on a map, along a
rocky road that runs west of the main road. Mob's yard. Cultivated.

i Uses/Comments Young bananas, the bulb (inflor.), or root is boiled in water and taken to
treat diarrhea or to stop children from urinating in bed. Leaves are greased
and wrapped around a child to reduce fever. Leaves put in hat for
headache or on back for pain.
