BASTROP CO.: common in wet clayey sand or sandy clay
along mostly unshaded shoreline of small pond created as
habitat for Bufo houtonensis, in burned-over loblolly pine -
post oak forest on gentle slope underlain by Eocene sands of
the Reklaw Formation, on soils mapped as Axtell-Tabor
complex, ca. 0.2 airmiles E of Harmon Road from a point
ca. 0.6 roadmiles N of jet. St. Rt. 71, at N30°06.073’,
W097°14.900\ Bastrop State Park. Smithville Quadrangle.
Elev. 520 ft. Area buméd during Bastrop Complex Wildfire
of September 2011.
Associates included Cyperus haspan, C. strigosus, Eclipta prostrata,
Dichanthelium 31025, Fimbristylis autumnalis, Juncus diffusissimus,
Lindemia dubia, Pluchea camphorata, Rotala ramosior, Typha 31024,
seedlings of Salix nigra and Populus deltoides.
