Birch Creek Unit Growing on rocky outcrop. Associates include Eragrostis
secundiflora ssp. oxylepis, Chasmanthium laxum var. sessilifolium,
Dichanthelium laxiflorum, Aristida longespica var. geniculata, Ulmus crassifolia,
Quercus nigra, Chrysopsis pilosa, Setaria parviflora, Eragrostis capillaris, Salvia
lyrata, Tridens strictus, Palafoxia rosea var. rosea, Chloris verticillata, Bouteloua
curtipendula var. curtipendula.
Basal rosette with small, spreading plantlets - most without scape.
Inflorescences yellow.
