Large sedge meadow with many shrubby Salix, Spiraea
alba, surrounded by secondary forest with Populus
tremuloides, Abies balsamea.
Shrub with many slender stems, to 2.2 m. tall, to 1.6 cm. in
diameter, forming a loose clump or colony. Voucher for
wood specimen, MADw. Pistillate.
