State Forest Road, 0.9 km NE of junction with Hwy. 3 at
Wolf Lake.
37°30'19”'N, 89°25’30”W. alt. 109 m.
Brushy, disturbed woodland along now dry creek bed. With
Gleditsia triacanthos, Quercus sp., Platanus occidentalis, in
the Mississippi River valley but not within active
floodplain.
Patch of very slender stems to 1.2 m. tall. Voucher for wood
specimen, MADw. Expanded calyces yellow-green or dry
and light tan.
