Beach strand. 24° 11 40 N Longitude 75° 18 84 W Not previously listed as occurring on Cat Island (Correll & Correll, 1982). Plant is boiled in water and the decoction is taken for colds, coughs, fever, flu, and as a source of bitters for illness prevention. Laurel R.
