UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO HERBARIUM Flora of Idaho (ID) Vida amcricana Muhl. var. truncata (Nutt.) Brew, IDAHO COUNTY: T36N R11E S14 (SE 1/4). Several plants along old Lochsa river trail as it climbs out of Weir creek, but on slope facing into Weir creek. Elevation 2970 ft., 30% slope, easterly exposure. Soil: coarse decomposed granite. Vegetation Abies grandis climax - pole size stand of Abies grandis, Pseudotsuga menziesii - Vicia was climbing in understory vegetation, about 2 to 4 ft. high. Shady site.
