Nee, 1993 New York, Bronx Co., Bronx, at the New York Botanical Garden* Tree 65 cm. in diameter; bark scaly. Crushed leaves fetid, entire or with a lobe on one or both sides. Inflorescences showy, in full floweri flowers lightly but pleasantly fragrant, the tube oriented at 45° below the horizontal, the corolla white with prominent purple marks in throat and 2 dark yellow guide lines on lower part of tube.
