Description
Herb to 2.5 m. Leaf semi-coriaceous, green above with sheen; grey green below. Pulvinus dark olive-green to dark brownish green, petiole green flecked or tinged red-purple. Sheath green, tinged red-purple along the margins. Bracts green basally, apex and margins dark red-purple. Flower white throughout except sepals red apically. Leaves used as thatch for houses. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
