DC. Byrsonima lucida No real consistant name given, but here were some: Puke Berry, Babies Puke. Shrub with rusty brown fruits. South of New Bight and Douds, but just north of Old Bight. Found along the main road in a swampy scrubby scattered low dry evergreen forest / coppice. 24° 15 08 N Longitude 75°23 43 W Fruits are edible, but are very tart and chalky tasting. I wouldn't recommend eating them, some liken the taste to vomit, hence the common name. Laurel R.
