Shrub. With small dark green leaves. Inflorescences with terminal and in leaf axils. Calyx with 5 sharp, red lobes; corolla with 5 purple petals; anthers 8, white; filaments mostly with white bilobed anthers and 2 straight anthers; style red, curved upward.
