Timber Lane, just S of Hwy. 14.
43°13’1 i”N, 90°17’30”W. alt. 215 m.
T 9 N; R 2 E; NW'^NWW sect. 32.
Flat, very sandy soil, originally Pinus banksiana woods and
dry sand prairie. This species abundantly escaped in this
area SE side of Gotham, in disturbed areas around old
sawmill and old fields.
Tree 50 cm. in diameter. Voucher for wood specimen,
MADw. the wood from an upper branch. Flower buds very
dark.
