Upper edge of old dolomite quarry on ridge, with a few
Juniperus virginiana, Lonicera maackii.
Shrub 3 m. tall, with 3 large arching stems to 7 cm. in
diameter and 8 years old, in a clump and some sprouts.
Voucher for wood specimen, MADw, the wood from the
largest stem. Flowers hanging, visited by bumblebees (3:00
P.M., overcast, cool), sharply and pleasantly fragrant.
