United States of America. California. Monterey Co. Santa Lucia Mountains, above Alder Creek, about 1 mile southeast of Krenkel's (Los Burros Mine). The grove ia about 1 mile southeast of Krenkel's house and is a short walk up to the slope to the east of Alder Creek.

Sun, west slope. Upper Sonoran: Digger pine. Abundant. Serpentine rock.

Tree 30 ft., spread 30 ft., trunk diameter 18 inches This is not a very large grove. Most trees small. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
