an elev. of 2000—2100 m.
Low sprawling or trailing subshrubs?
capsules short squat-campanulate to
suburceolate; sepals reflexed in anthesis
and fruit. Corolla pink. Antepetalous
anthers deep pink with yellow appendages.
Only locally common in thickets and exposed
soil over graded rocky ledges. Sympatric.
with M. braeteolaturn.
