of the turnoff 1.5 km N of La Calera to Parque Nacional Chingaza, 3010
m. 4°43,30" N, 73°50' W.
In secondary vegetation along the road by a pasture. Culms erect to
leaning at the base, arching and hanging above, to 2.3 cm in diameter,
to 4 m long. Branching extravaginal. Culm leaves not reaching the next
node, sheaths abaxially slightly scabrous, fused at the base for up to 2.5
cm, blade erect, persistent. Internodes terete, glabrous, wine-colored in
the sun, green below the node. Treated with 70% EtOH.
