BAMBOOS OF COLOMBIA
Chusquea sp.
Tolima: Mun. Cajamarca, highway from La Linea to Ibague, 18.9 km W
of Cajamarca, 2890 m. 4°27'30" N, 75°33' W.
In secondary vegetation along roadside, common in places, all
vegetative. Culms erect at the base, arching and scandent above, at
least toward the apex, 2.5 cm in diameter, to 5-6 m tall. Branching
extravaginal; fibrillar branchlets lacking. Culms and culm leaves not
waxy or farinose. Culm leaves barely surpassing the next node,
glabrous. Treated with 70% EtOH.
