On alluvial terrace on south side of Deal Creek;
disturbed area. Site #25 (Lat. 34°10*50"; Long.
82°41f30"), ca. 2.5 miles southwest of town of
Lowndesville, S. C.; ca. 2 miles east of the
Savannah River. Below the 475-ft. contour (full
pool for proposed Russell Lake). Area to be
impounded in the mid-1980*s.
