Mexico. Veracruz. Volcán San Martín, 8 miles North of San Andrés Textla. Gentle slope on northeast side of ridge below Palo de Agua Pass.

Habitat
Rich deciduous forest (see Amer. J. Bot. 55: 477-484, 1968). Large trees locally abundant. Associated with Hedyosmum, etc.

Description
Tree, 70 ft. x 19 x 24 inches dbh. Tree, 70 ft.tall x 19x24 inches in dbh. Bark tight, warty, reddish-brown exterior, pinkish interior. Wood white throughout. Androgynous panicles with females terminal; male and female flowers young. Abundant green fruit. Wood sample collected. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
