A large herbaceous?? Plant with a basal rosette of leaves which are
about 65 cm long and have an annoyingly sharp prickle on the tip.
Flowers paniculate on a tall inflorescence peduncle about 4 meters
tall. Flowers with creamy greenish flowers.
Cove settlement, in the southern part of the settlement on the east side of
the main road.

Leaves are harvested and soaked in salt water until what's left is the leaf
strands/fibers. Fibers woven to make hats and other crafts, and is also
used for rope. In the Loyalist days, this was widely cultivated.
