Habitat
Frequent to occasional in the general area. Among the Taxodium 'knees' in the mucky, sticky, black soil of a backwater of the Apalachicola River. With Taxodium distichum, Liquidambar styraciflua, Nyssa aquatica, Nyssa biflora, Onoclea sensibilis, Sabal minor, Ilex, and Saururus cernuus.

Description
Flowers very fragrant: vanilla, jasmine. Basal leaves long, lanceolate, dark green, succulent. Flowers ivory-white. Labellum centrally light yellow, acute tipped. Some S. odorata blooming while submerged in water. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
