Torrifluventic Haplustolls), S side of US Rt. 281 (Old
Military Highway) ca. 0.7-0.8 roadmiles W off jet. F.M.
1732, NW of Brownsville, at N26°01’18.9’\
W097°37’09.3”. Elev. 40-45 ft.
Right-of-way dominated by Urochloa maxima. Associates in ditch
included Ammannia coccínea, Carex tetrastachya, Justicia pacifica.
Associates in adjacent fenceline included Acacia famesiana, Amyris
madrensis, A. texana, Celtis pallida, Chromolaena odorata. Coridalia
hookeri, Ehretia anacua, Forestiera angustifolia, Guaiacum angustifolium,
Koeberlinia spinosa, Leucaena pulverulenta, Malpighia glabra, Maytenus
phyllanthoides, Parkinsonia aculeata, Phaulothamnus spinescens,
Pithecellobium ebano, Prosopis glandulosa, Randia rhagocarpa, Salvia
coccínea, Sideroxylon celastrinum, Stachys drummondii, Urtica
