along intermittant creek in semi-forested ravine, just adjacent to little bluestem
field. Sandy soils with some clay mixed in. Associates include (in moist
bottomlands) - Sabatia, Callicarpa, Myrica cerifera, Erigeron, Polygonum,
Allium, Quercus nigra, Verbena
(in field)- Schizachyrium scoparium, Hymenopappus, Opuntia, Yucca, Stillingia,
Carya, Rumex, Berlandieri, Gaillardia, Helianthemum, Linum, Tradescantia,
Rudbeckia, Asclepias tuberosa, Ipomea, Coreopsis, Oenothera, Polygala
verticillata, Prunus.
