Chusquea sp.
Boyacá: Mun. Arcabuco, 1.5 km W of Arcabuco on the road to
Gachantiva and Villa de Leiva, 2540 m. 5°30' N, 73°28' W.
In secondary dry montane forest with Melastomataceae, Ericaceae,
Lygodium, and Polypodium. Culms erect at the base then arching and
scandent, to 1 cm in diameter, to 3 m tall. Branching extravaginal;
central bud triangular. Internodes with the upper half of each one
tuberculate-scabrous. Culm leaves not reaching the next node, abaxially
scabrous; blade small. Treated with 70% EtOH.
