SW of Queremal, 1330 m. 3°30' N, 76°44' W.
Secondary vegetation on roadbank, not common. All vegetative. Culms
erect at the base then arching over and scandent and hanging, to 2.5 cm
basal diameter, to 6 m long. Branching infravaginal; prophyll of the
central bud elongated. Culm leaves surpassing the next node,
approximately the lower half abaxially hispid, hairs sparse and shorter on
the upper half; sheath slightly maculate toward the margins just above
where the hairs become sparse; blade erect, persistent, subulate-
apiculate, relatively short, about 2 cm long. Treated with 70% EtOH.
