BAMBOOS OF COLOMBIA
Chusquea sp.
Boyaca: Mun. Aquitania, road Sogamoso-Pajarito-Yopal, 13.5 km ESE
of La Toquilla, 13.2 km above Corinto, 2450 m. 5°28'30" N, 72°43' W.
In quebrada and hanging from road bank; all vegetative. Culms
branching and rebranching and forming tangled masses on trees and
other vegetation, to about 1 cm in diameter, to several m long.
Branching extravaginal, but the culm leaves pushed away as branches
develop. Subsidiary branches numerous but not very long. Treated with
70% EtOH.
