Dear Sir: Enclosed please find a specimen of a plant that has come to me from Tampa, Florida. It appears to he more or less disseminated in that region. I am not certain hut I believe I have seen it two or three times. The other day I attempted to trace it thru the key hut It seemed to land me nowhere. As a matter of fact, I did not seem to he able to refer it definitely to any genus. The plant may have heen introduced and become established hut it seems to grow rather vigorously and seems to he quite persistent,' I trust that you are prospering and that your Botanical work is getting along nicely. How did you come out with your Opuntius?
