Georeferencing Method
Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012. Unable to find the precise location of "Fazenda Sta. Rosa;" instead, georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Paraná Autás-Mirim. Referred to GeoNames.net for location information for Paraná do Autás-Mirim (http://www.geonames.org/maps/google_-3.4_-58.95.html). Using the reference material and Google Maps - Satellite View, located Paraná do Autás-Mirim, which stretches from Lago Piranha to Parana do Curari Grande (passing by Lago Purupuru and Lago Capitari, in accordance with other locality descriptions). Used the Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line along the approximate stretch of Paraná do Autás-Mirim, then halved this distance to approximate the location of the geographic midpoint along the stream. Measured to this halved distance from the beginning of the segment of Paraná do Autás-Mirim toward the center; used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the midpoint of the stream, on the adjacent shore (collection assumed to be terrestrial). Input coordinates, linear extent (distance from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of Paraná do Autás-Mirim, 54661.7 m), and measurement error (.5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.
