WHITTIER HILLS (Puente Hills, pro parte): Skyline
drive at the head of Turnbull Canyon; T2S R11W; center
of section 14; elev 1140 feet. Shrubs to ca 11dm tall
with bright yellow, intensely fragrant flowers,
naturalizing at roadside. With Ribes speciosum and
Spartium junceum. Several young plants seen.
