Habitat
Deep narrow drainage below coarse granitic outcrops. Populus tremuloides woodland immediately around stream, with grazed Artemisia tridentata scrub above. With Sphenosciadium capitellatum, Achillea millefolium, Aquilegia formosa, Trifolium longipes, Smilacina stellata, Carex, Juncus, Salix. Dominant tree in this drainage, occasional clones upslope. Soft pumice soil.
