Shrub; ca. 1.5 meters tall. Only one
individual noted, growing near to
hummocks of Mauritiella armata.
Bark flaky, dark tan. Flowers
magenta. Habitat: a large expanse
of weakly coalesced floating mat;
dominated by Eleocharis acutangula,
with abundant Syngonanthus sp. and
Cyrtopodium paludicolum.
