Moist disturbed soil.
Roadside right-of-way, a mix of exotic weedy species
and natives, including various grasses, Eucalyptus,
Pavonia hastata, Alphitonia excelsa, and others.
Flowers white with pale pink corona, pendulous; fruit
inflated - bladder-like; herb 1.5 m tall, bitter milky sap;
leaves slightly paler beneath; common along roadsides;
apparently native to Africa.
