Thickets of shrubs (Lonicera morrowii, Euonymus alatus), vines (Celastrus orbiculatus, Vitis and Parthenocissus) in alluvial forest of Acer negundo, A. saccharinum, A. rubrum, Populus deltoides, Platanus occidentalis, Comus alternifolia and Ulmus rubra. Twining vine on shrubs, other vines and around itself, climbing to ca. 5 m; leaves abaxially pale green, adaxially green; fresh inflorescence axis, pedicels and flowers white. Abundant.
