Mexico. Baja California Sur. Sierra de la Giganta; Dry rocky bed of Arroyo Santo Domingo; Rancho El Horno (northeast of San Xavier).

Habitat
Bordered with Prosopis, Acacia brandegeana, Jatropha cinerea, Lophocereus schottii, Opuntia, and Bumelia.

Description
Shrub with trunk 2-3 cm. in diameter growing to 3 m. tall in protection of other shrubs; herbage aromatic; flowers clear yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Notes (shown on label)
Except where protected by other shrubs, all plants have been browsed by goats and cattle to within a few inches of the ground. Guide says that it is used as a tea and also for respitory troubles
