Roadside thickets and disturbed sites at
an elev. of ca. 7500 ft.
Erect rather compact shrubs with strongly
angled young shoots. Petals deep magenta,
obovate to obovate-truncate or emarginate;
filaments pink, antepetalous anthers red.
Antesepalous anthers yellow but suffused
with pink on abaxial side. Abundant.
